Marja Lankinen

Founder, Yoga For Dancers

Founded by Marja Lankinen, Yoga for Dancers is a class style deliberately built to support dancer health and wellness for longevity and elite performance. Y4D's movement methodology roots in therapeutics through yoga, and every class targets strength training, flexibility, range of motion, joint integrity, structural awareness, recovery, body awareness, and self care techniques.

As a professional dancer, Marja understands the constant rigors and stress dancers see on a daily basis. That is why Y4D classes speak to supporting elite performance AND intelligent practices in mindfulness and overall longterm wellness. Yoga for Dancers believes that, to be the best artist one can be, there must be a deep connection to self, a support network of likeminded people, and a clear vision for where one is going. Through mental imagery, clear goal setting, and a physical practice set in a community-building environment, Y4D is a one stop shop in giving dancers the extracurricular tools they need to succeed in a professional career and keep a healthy body long after.
