Mattrick Swayze and The Jenarator, Creators of POMSQUAD Fitness

About: Chicago based performer and fitness instructor Mattrick Swayze (aka Matthew Hollis) has been teaching, dancing, and sweating for the greater part of the last few decades. After attending Columbia College Chicago Mattrick received the prestigious Chicago Dancemakers Forum which resulted in a year-long exploration into the world of cheerleading. Combining his love of fitness and cheerleading Mattrick began PomSquad Fitness with his friend the Jenarator. PomSquad has been featured on U and ME in the morning, WGN’s midday fix, and NBC’s first look. Currently Mattrick is on faculty at Columbia College Chicago and trains all over the city.

The Jenarator [a.k.a. Jena Ertel] is obsessed with movement and the positive effects of community.  Her incessant need to make awesome ideas come to life led her to team up with her pal Matthew Hollis to develop and co-found PomSquad Fitness. Before PomSquad was born, she was a high school dance educator, event planner, production company owner,  group fitness instructor and yoga teacher.  Her college years culminated in a BA in Dance from Columbia College Chicago as well as a K-12 Dance Education Cert from UWM.  Her other movement training is from Tejas Yoga Chicago, The Dailey Method and AFAA [and more!] Currently she teaches PomSquad as many places as possible, runs the business end, and is a dedicated instructor and practitioner of the Dailey Method.

Corey "C'Yo" Brown, Founder, Urban Cardio Dance

About: Corey C’Yo Brown, better known as C'Yo, is a certified, fitness specialist with over 6 years of professional experience.  The value in what he offers to the fitness arena is not only found best through experiencing his one of a kind contagious energy but also through his diverse background.  He's a father of two, fitness physique competitor, model, and dancer.  Supported by his experience as a dancer, C'Yo has become widely known for his originally designed dance fitness program called, Urban Cardio Dance (UCD) class.

Session: Urban Cardio Dance® is is a dance workout derived from a combination of urbanized dance styles, ranging from old/new school hip-hop, street jazz, African, contemporary, and commercial dance.  The dance styles are fused with fitness components to create industry dance that challenges the cardiovascular system, strengthen the body, and builds the confidence.

About: Leida “Lady Sol” Garcia-Mukwacha is a street dance professional from Chicago recognized globally as a Creative Director, Manager, Producer and Youth Arts Educator. She has worked with MTV, BET, NBC, and TBS, alongside super-starsBusta Rhymes, Wyclef Jean, Cham, Mr. Vegas, Demarco, Cedric the Entertainer and Ellen Degeneres. Lady Sol is responsible for bringing Chicago’s Footwork/Juke culture to global stages via King Charles and the FootworKINGz who have performed with Madonna, Will.I.Am, Missy Elliott,Willow Smith, Chicago Sinfonietta, IBM, Nike and Red Bull. In 2013, Lady Sol pioneered the start of public Reggae/Dancehall classes in Chicago dance studios and has staged choreography at various local culture festivals and concerts. In 2014, she partnered with Jessica Phoenix, Founder of FIYAH Dancehall Theater NYC and Co-Founded FIYAH Fit, a dance fitness experience that celebrates and empowers women. “I find joy in sharing culture that spreads happiness and promotes healthy living,” says a proud Lady Sol. “I intend to continue preserving culture by promoting, teaching, and presenting it both locally and globally.”

Session: "Dancehall Clash" Journey into the sweet sounds of Jamaica's Reggae/Dancehall culture, riddims, and vibes. Join FIYAH Fit Founders Jessica Phoenix and Lady Sol as they move with you through various Jamaican street dance styles including Rocksteady "Rub-a-Dub Whining," Bogle's "Back to Basics Party Moves" and bold Dancehall Queen "Bruk Out Style." This vibrant dance fitness format is a guaranteed calorie burn. So get ready to buss a whine, break a sweat, and ignite the goddess within!

Benjamin Allen, Creator, GROOV3

About: Benjamin Allen is an entertainment industry insider and the mastermind behind the fitness movement GROOV3™. Marja Lankinen, Founder, Yoga for Dancers

About: Formerly a professional dancer, Marja has danced for Beyonce, Oprah, the Billboard Awards, the Grammys, Frank Gatson, Laurieann Gibson, Twista, the Lumineers, was on international tour, was a three year company member of Boom!Crack Dance (hip hop company in residency with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago), and was the Executive Director of Dance2XS Dance Company in Michigan. Marja moved to LA from Shanghai the summer of 2012 to teach and dance. Training: Five hundred hour certified though Annie Carpenter (SmartFlow Yoga) and Corepower Yoga (Power Yoga, Hot Power Fusion, and Yin Yoga)
